Wednesday January 7, 2009 Dad update

Update - Dad still in icu at the hospital, he hasnt been able to eat or drink since he went in. They did a test yesterday down his throat to check for blockage or damage. They did not find blockage but they did find that his muscles are weak, they are putting in a feeding tube today to get nutrition. After they put in tube Dr is going to get him up and around to see how he does to determine if he can go home with home care or send him to rehab til he is strong. They are going to change his blood thinner and monitor for 3wks then put him back on his regular heart medication. The fluid is off his lungs. The gual stones they cant do anything for, they are not infected or causing any problems. He is in very good spirits. Mom is doing good also. Kent is coming today from CA. Thank you all for your prayers and love.

Friday January 2, 2009 Dad in Hospital

At 2:30am I hear my Dad coughing and coughing so I stayed up the rest of the night worrying... I wrote a note in the dark saying "you must go to Dr or Hospital today" my Dad listened to my plea and tried to go to Dr and office was closed so next stop Hospital. His heart rate was 169 should be 92 irregular heart beat and found lots of fluid on his lungs so they kept him couple of days. They ran ekg and cat scan and eco gram and chest exam. Our faith and prayers are with him....
