September 18 - 21, 2008 UT Scrapbook Expo
Tradition for years... we start counting down months before, its better than Christmas for me. I drive my truck pick up Marlene and Amy and stop at every Roberts (we love that store, wish one for Las Vegas) using coupons and buying scrapbook deals and cute items on the way up and cool scrapbook store in Spanish Fork. Arrive at Heyde's where we are always welcome and take over her dinning and family room with scrapbook tables and our scrapbook stuff. Carrie and Kelly come over on Friday & Saturday. We scrapbooked and went to Scrapbook expo in Sandy UT then go to Chili's for lunch then to another Roberts before we go back to Heyde's to scrapbook some more non-stop til Sunday we pack up truck to the very top no spaces after 3 of us shopping for scrapbook stuff we come home loaded... Thanks to Heyde this year we didnt have to bring our tables and chairs like in the past... This year I had couple challenges but didnt let it get me down - month old cell phone broke on Friday so had to get replaced then Saturday night got sick so was forced to bed while the girls stayed up. Cant wait til next year..... we have SO MUCH FUN with my Sister and Sister n law and neices....

September 5, 2008 Coal Mine
Tip Top Coal Mine will always be my Grandpa Sanders coal mine to me... the Spirit of my Grandpa is there... I have been inside this mine and its cold and dark. My Grandpa and Dad and Uncles all worked this mine. When my Dad saw on tv the picture of the canyon he knew this was the same mine before they said Crandall Canyon. We followed the stories everyday... Parents had an opertunity to go this day while Dad was in UT for his class reunion. They shared the wonderful monument pictures with me.

August 31, 2008 Sunday Howard Family Reunion rain
Got caught in the rain... at Temple Square we tried to make a run for it but stopped under little awning while the men ran for the trucks.
Our tent was 1/2 standing when we returned. We took down and thru everything in the truck and went to Adam's parents home where all Cal's family was staying and they still had room for 2 wet girls. Everyone unloaded wet items from truck and layed out and Adam's mom took our wet clothes and sleeping bags and blankets and dryed for us. Thank you so much!
